2021 Jeans for Communerosity Charities
PenAir Credit Union (PenAir) congratulates the 2021 Jeans for Communerosity Charities (J4C). Each charity will each receive a gift of $5,000, along with a commitment from the credit unions 340 employees to serve the charity through volunteer opportunities to further their missions.
PenAir’s Jeans for Communerosity (J4C) program is an employee-driven fundraising effort to give back to those in need in the community. Each year, employees nominate and vote for local nonprofit organizations to be recipients of this philanthropic program. Funds are raised through payroll deductions, J4C days, and J4C t-shirt sales. PenAir matches employee contributions and divides them equally among the ten selected charities for the year. We’re proud to say that $195,000 of those funds came directly from the pockets of our employees.
Communerosity is a core value at PenAir our employees truly live every day. Through J4C, PenAir employees have given more than $340,000 since the program began in 2013. By the end of 2021, more than $390,000 will be given back to help make an impact in the communities we serve.
Together, we’re enhancing lives in our local community.
