Student-Run Credit Unions
Since 2008, Pen Air's student-run credit union program has been educating local high school students in the daily tasks needed to operate a credit union location. With three student-run credit union locations, Pen Air employees and the student-tellers work together to serve the financial needs of the students, faculty, and staff on their campuses. Through real-life training and experience, the student-tellers develop valuable professional and personal skills such as money management, customer service, teller operations, work ethic, problem solving and professionalism. The resources provided to the student-tellers educate, inform, and provide them with the financial resources and skills they need to excel in high school, higher education and in any future employment.
- Patriot Credit Union at Pace High School (est. 2008)
- Panther Credit Union at Milton High School (est. 2009)
- Wildcat Credit Union at Booker T. Washington High School (est. 2012)
Each student-run location is an extension of Pen Air. Since these student-run locations are only accessible to the students, faculty, and staff members, the student body is also learning how to interact with their financial institution.
