Next - Pen Air Federal Credit Union

We have been a proud supporter of the schools in our community for many years and look forward to creating an even stronger relationship with Next - Student Success.  This new program will allows us to offer financial education through the Biz Kid$ program, boot camps, career readiness through mentors and much more. 

A team of Pen Air educators will be in classrooms once a month to reach on different financial topics. During the school year, we will also work with the schools to host boot camps on topics such as Budgeting for Life After High School and How to Perfect Your Resume.

Biz Kid$™ is a national financial education initiative based on an Emmy Award-winning public television series about kids, money, and business. Using a clever blend of entertainment and education, each Biz Kid$™ episode shows kids how to make and manage money by introducing concepts of financial literacy and entrepreneurship.

Biz Kid$™ creative team is best known for creating and producing Bill Nye the Science Guy. Bill Nye was a popular science series produced in the 1990's, and is still being used to teach science in classrooms across the US today.

Biz Kid$™ has received the status of "recommended educational resource" by the State Boards of Education in Virginia, Florida, California, Illinois, Iowa, Idaho, Wisconsin, and Texas. The series is in the process of achieving that recognition in New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Massachusetts.

Financial "Edutainment"

Through 65 episodes of "edutainment" and corresponding curriculum, we offer this program for educational use at no-cost.
