Preparing for the Fight with Comfort & Nourishment
PenAir Credit Union’s Snack Stock is a snack collection drive benefiting Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center in Pensacola – offering comfort to those battling breast cancer and beyond while in the waiting room, treatment areas or during routine appointments.
Enhancing Lives at Ascension
According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), there are many types of cancer treatment available and some — like chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, immune therapy and targeted therapy – can potentially affect the whole body. Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Centers provide treatment to patients diagnosed with more than 15 different types of cancer – at 12 locations in our region.
How Do Snacks Help?
For some, side effects from treatment are only temporary, improving afterward, but for others, it can be more persistent. The most common are pain, fatigue and emotional distress. According to ACS, cancer patients who eat well – and eat during treatment – can consume the needed calories and are better able to cope with sides effects from their treatment.
PenAir's Support
Since starting the snack collection in 2023, PenAir has helped organize the donation of over 8,000 individually wrapped items for cancer patients and their families.
PenAir’s branches have served as collection sites, inviting community members and employees to donate single-serving packaged items such as chips, pretzels, popcorn, cookies, and protein bars.

1. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY / PURCHASE OR SIGNING UP FOR ANY SERVICES WILL NOT INCREASE CHANCES OF WINNING / Membership is not required to participate in the prize drawing. 2. Eligibility: The Snack Stock campaign is open to adults, aged 18 years or older. Employees of the Credit Union and their immediate family members residing in a single household are not eligible. By submitting any entry, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Bring in a snack donation to the Pensacola Blue Wahoo’s game on May 23, 2025, and be entered in to win a TBD prize. Winner will be selected in a random drawing and announced at the conclusion of the game. 3. To claim the prize, the winner must sign and return a release and an affidavit of eligibility and publicity release to the Credit Union table during/after the game. The prize will be awarded only if entrants comply with these Official Rules. If any prize is unclaimed, an alternate winner will be chosen. Entry in this promotion or acceptance of any prize constitutes acceptance of the Official Contest Rules. 4. Void where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. 5. By accepting a prize, a winner consents to the use of his/her name and photograph or likeness for advertising and promotional services without compensation. 6. Prize winner is responsible for all federal, state, local or other taxes or other assessments that may be associated with or imposed upon the winner of any prize in this promotion. 7. Release of Claims: The winner, members of any winners household, relatives and persons who use any prize awarded by the Credit Union, and such persons heirs, assigns, executors, and administrators release and exempt the Credit Union and it directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all claims, actions, demands, choses in action and damages which they have now or any time in the future arising from use of any prize, including personal injury or death. 8. The name of the prize-winner will be posted on the Credit Union’s social media accounts. The selection of a prizewinner hereunder will be final.
Donations should be single-serving packaged items, such as chips, pretzels, popcorn, cookies, crackers, snack or protein bars, or pudding or fruit cups and pouches.
