PenAir Celebrates Reaching New Heights in 2024 and Shares Plans to Soar in the New Year

Pensacola, Florida – (February 21, 2025) PenAir Credit Union (PenAir) is proud to announce a year of remarkable progress and growth, solidifying its position as a leader in the financial services industry. With new branches, expanded markets, and growth in its commercial banking services, PenAir continues to enhance accessibility and banking convenience and reaffirms its commitment to improving members’ lives.

In January 2024, PenAir broke ground for a new 2,500-square-foot branch in Crestview, FL, and in February, PenAir celebrated the grand opening of its 1,200-square-foot branch in Beulah, FL. Both facilities feature a streamlined design that enhances the member experience with a unique, people-first, tech-friendly approach, including drive-thru Live Interactive Video Experience (LIVE) machines to provide extended hours.

Since its inception in 1936, PenAir has focused on providing members with better rates and personalized service; PenAir positively impacts communities through comprehensive financial solutions, including education, banking, lending, saving, and investing. In 2024, PenAir and its employees invested over $865,000 in 196 local community and nonprofit organizations focused on financial education and health and human services.

PenAir is actively exploring opportunities to expand into new markets, meeting members where they are while bringing unparalleled service and dedication to a broader audience. This growth strategy underscores the credit union’s mission to deliver high-quality financial solutions that make a difference in members’ lives.

In June 2024, PenAir announced the expansion of its membership eligibility, including its robust digital offerings, to include residents of Escambia County, AL, and Houston County, AL, increasing the total number of counties PenAir serves to 19 counties in AL and FL. Additionally, in November of 2024, PenAir opened a new office in Panama City, FL, dedicated to serving the commercial banking needs of businesses throughout the Panama City and Bay County, FL, region.

During 2025, PenAir plans to open its Crestview Branch and begin construction on a new location in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. This year, the credit union will also expand its business and commercial banking services by introducing a broader range of business account options. Recognizing that businesses are vital to strong communities, PenAir remains committed to supporting them through convenient account services and lending solutions.
