The personal information of a child under the age of thirteen received online is not collected, stored or disclosed by PenAir Credit Union in order to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. This personal information includes name, address, email address, telephone number, social security number, specific identifier, or any combination of various identifying elements.

If a child under the age of thirteen elects to send an email or other electronic request to PenAir, the credit union may respond to that email or request. However, the email address of the child will be deleted and no personal information will be collected, stored, or disclosed.

We understand how important personal privacy is to you. As a result, we have adopted the following Privacy Policy, in order to better serve you, our valued Member.

Privacy Concerns of Our Members
Your privacy and security concerning your personal affairs is of the utmost importance to us. We have implemented standards and procedures designed to prevent the misuse of information you have entrusted to us. These standards and procedures are based on applicable federal laws and state statutes that govern how we handle your account with us.

Collection and Retention of Member Information
We automatically collect the date and time of your visit, the internet provider address you were assigned, location services, and the pages you access on our web site. If you participate in any surveys and/or site registrations, we retain that information as well. The information we obtain from you remains strictly confidential. Examples of how member information may be used include but are not limited to: 1) To improve our services; 2) To notify you about updates or enhancements 3) To contact you for special promotions. 4) push notifications to your phones as well as potential to use beacons and geo-fencing.

Collection and Retention of E-Mail Addresses
If you choose to provide us with your e-mail address, it will be used in the manner specified by you. This information will not be sold to third parties. If you authorize it, we provide your e-mail address to a third-party vendor we hire to provide services to you.

Access to Confidential Information by Employees
Your right to privacy is a top priority. We have policies and procedures that limit our employees’ access to personal information regarding your account. Through our standard operating procedures, we educate our employees regarding the need for confidentiality associated with our Members’ accounts.

Maintaining Accurate Member Information
Our goal is to ensure your records are current, accurate, and complete. If you make us aware of inaccurate information, we will respond to your inquiry in a timely manner.

Our Security Procedures to Protect Information
We use security features on the Online Banking platform to help prevent unauthorized access to your information. We update and test our security as necessary to improve the protection of information and its integrity.

Disclosure of Member Account Information
We may provide personally identifiable information about you to a third party such as a vendor or service company that we hire to prepare your account statements or to provide support or services for one or more of our products (affiliate). These vendors and service companies have agreed to safeguard our confidential information about you, and any products and services that
you use.

Except as stated above, we will not knowingly reveal any account information or other personally identifiable information to a third party not affiliated with PenAir CU, unless one of the following applies: 1) The information is required in order to complete a transaction initiated by you; 2) You request or authorize the disclosure of information; 3) We are required or allowed to by law; or 4) The information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency.

Our Sites are designed for optimal viewing with cookies enabled (cookies are small text files that collect internet traffic data). For example, cookies store your preferences for when you visit our Sites. If your web browser settings allow cookies, our Sites will utilize them. You may disable or remove cookies by accessing your web browser settings. Our Sites will still function without cookies, but some features may not work properly. Please note that due to a lack of consistent standards across browsers, our Sites may not respond to “do not track” browser settings. We do not monitor your online activities after you leave our Sites.

Please Note: E-mail sent to PACU may be used by the credit union’s staff and volunteers to answer questions, to follow up on suggestions or to improve the level of service PACU provides. E-mail may not be secured and is subject to interception by unauthorized individuals. Therefore, if you wish to communicate sensitive or personal information, you may send it by
postal service or use our Secure Messaging.

Use of this system constitutes consent to security testing and monitoring. ALL network traffic on this system is constantly monitored for security, copyright, and statistical purposes. Unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, to download this entire web site, or otherwise cause damage is strictly prohibited and may be punishable under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act of 1986 and any other applicable local, state, federal and/or international laws. Funds_Availability_Disclosure_2020

This Disclosure describes your ability to withdraw funds at PenAir Credit Union. It only applies to the availability of funds in transaction accounts. The Credit Union reserves the right to delay the availability of funds deposited to accounts that are not transaction accounts for periods longer than those disclosed in this policy. Please ask us if you have a question about which accounts are affected by this policy or if you need to know when a particular deposit will be available for withdrawal.

1. Your wireless carrier’s standard messaging rates apply to your entry or submission message, our confirmation and all subsequent SMS correspondence. PenAir CU does not charge for any content; however, downloadable content may incur additional charges from your wireless carrier. Please contact your wireless carrier for information about your messaging plan. Your carrier may impose message or charge limitations on your account that are outside of our control. All charges are billed by and payable to your wireless carrier.

2. By subscribing, you consent to receiving SMS messages per day, including text messages from us which may include offers from us, our affiliates and partners. You can unsubscribe at any time from all services by sending STOP to 74994.

3. You represent that you are the owner, or authorized user of the wireless device you use to subscribe to the service, and that you are authorized to approve the applicable charges.

4. We will not be liable for any delays or failures in your receipt of any SMS messages as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator and processing by your mobile device. SMS message services are provided on an as is, as available basis.

5. Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may include your mobile phone number, your carrier’s name, and the date, time and content of your messages and other information that you may provide. We may use this information to contact you and to provide the services you request from us, and to otherwise operate, develop and improve the service. Your wireless carrier and other service providers may also collect data from your SMS usage, and their practices are governed by their own policies. We will only use the information you provide to the service to transmit your text message or as otherwise described in this document. Nonetheless, we reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property. When you complete forms online or otherwise provide us information in connection with the service, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and true information.

6. The service as well as the content and materials received through the service are proprietary to us and our licensors, and is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You shall not damage, impair, interfere with or disrupt the service or its functionality.

7. The service is available only in the United States.

8. Deactivating mobile phone number: If you deactivate cellular service for the mobile phone number that you enrolled in the Text Message Banking Service, you are responsible for deactivating that same phone number as described in how To Stop the Program in 2 above.

9. We reserve the right to alter charges and/or these terms and conditions from time to time. We may suspend or terminate the service to you if we believe you are in breach of our terms and conditions. Your service is also subject to termination in the event your wireless service terminates or lapses. We may discontinue the service at any time.

What this means is that when an account is opened, we will ask for information (such as name, address, and birth date) that will allow us to identify you, as well as to see a driver’s license or other identifying documents.
