PenAir Gives $10,000 to the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation

Pensacola, FLA. (September 16, 2021) – On Tuesday, September 14, PenAir Federal Credit Union (PenAir) presented a check for $10,000 to the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation. Funds were collected through the Share It® debit card program over the course of twelve months.

“PenAir knows the importance of education in our community. We’re thrilled to sponsor programs like Share-It® that help the students in Escambia County,” says Casey Brueske, Community Education Development Specialist for PenAir Federal Credit Union. “These funds will be matched dollar for dollar by the State of Florida to support eligible classroom initiatives, such as Take Stock in Children events and scholarships,” says Brueske.

Share It® debit cards allow members to designate funds to the eligible school district of their choice – Escambia County, Florida, Santa Rosa County, Florida and Baldwin County, Alabama. For every signature-based debit card transaction made with a Share It card, PenAir will donate .01¢ at no cost to the card holder.

“The funds from PenAir’s Share-It® program are a great way for the Foundation to further enhance education for the children in Escambia County’s public schools. We are so grateful for the partnership with PenAir,” says Kristie Kelley, Executive Director of the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation.
