PenAir Credit Union Elects Stephanie Oram as New Board Chair

Board Chair, Stephanie Oram

Pensacola, Florida (May 15, 2025) — PenAir Credit Union (PenAir) is proud to announce the election of Stephanie Oram as Chair of the Board of Directors, marking a historic milestone as the first woman to hold the position in the credit union’s 89-year history.

Oram, who previously served as Vice Chair, was elected by her fellow board members to succeed Robert (Bob) Jacobson. After six years of distinguished leadership as Chair, Jacobson will continue to serve on the board.

“We thank Bob for his steady leadership during a period of growth and innovation at PenAir,” said Lee Morgan, President and CEO of PenAir. “Stephanie’s election represents an exciting new chapter. Her lifelong commitment to service, operational excellence, and community impact makes her exceptionally well-suited to lead our board into the future.”

Originally from Phillips, Wisconsin, Oram was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy following her graduation from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She served for 24 years as a Naval Aviator, flying a variety of aircraft, including the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter in support of Carrier and Amphibious Ready Groups in the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf.

After retiring from active duty, Oram continued to serve as a civilian federal employee for nearly two decades. Her roles included Airfield Manager and Air Operations Officer at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, where she oversaw the full operations of the airfield. She later served as Community Planning and Liaison Officer and Installation Program Integrator, directly supporting the Commanding Officer of NAS Pensacola until her retirement in 2022.

Oram has been a dedicated PenAir member and volunteer, serving on the Supervisory Committee and now as a member of the Board of Directors. She is deeply committed to supporting the employees and members of PenAir, fostering a strong team environment and ensuring the continued success of the credit union.

With more than a decade of service to PenAir’s Board of Directors and a long-standing commitment to financial wellness in the community, Oram brings a strong vision for the future of the organization. Oram’s full biography is available at PenAir.org/impact-about/board-and-management.

In addition to Oram’s election as Chair, the Board of Directors also elected the following officers: Randy Roy as Vice Chair, Donald Bailey as Secretary, and Ricky Crews as Treasurer.
