Setbacks Happen
One of the most difficult things that we are encountering is reducing our food expenses.
This competition has had its ups and downs so far. I do genuinely believe that one of our greatest accomplishments thus far has been sticking to a budget and making sure that we are at least being consistent with paying down debt all while contributing to our savings each pay period before we consider any “outside” spending. I am super proud of the fact that our family has really come together in our competitiveness and stuck together to make sure that we are giving this competition our best shot.
One of the most difficult things that we are encountering is reducing our food expenses. Initially, we did well with not ordering food deliveries, but this month, we’ve been slipping. Despite that setback, we are giving ourselves grace. We are allowing these temporary setbacks because we realize that this competition is an uphill battle. After all, we are a continual work in progress as far as holding ourselves accountable for our financial stability and success – now and beyond the competition. All in all, we got this!
